Obviously there have been a few updated video drivers between now and then.
Other then the OS reinstall, the only thing that changed in my system besides MS updates is my monitor - went from a CRT 19" Dell (1280x1024 res) to a HP LCD 22" (1680x1050 res), and my video card - ATI HD 4850 to ATI HD 4890. Well now the game simply refuses to run without graphical corruption.I'm talking the whole screen is nothing but one giant black & white blob! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, trying it with and without the patch, with and without the AMD 64 bit patch.same aphical corruption. Well after a clean reinstall of the OS sometime ago, I recently decided to reinstall Farcry and give it a go again.
About a year ago, I had Farcry installed on my Vista Ultimate 圆4 machine and it ran without issues.
